Hawaii and Recovery time....

I have decided to give myself a "maintenance" program since I am not too sure what is in the cards as far as racing and training go.........Kelvin laughs a my "maintenance" program though because it is very close to his full on training schedule. What can I say???? I am used to doing workouts 6 days a week. I look at it like a break. The workouts are a lot shorter than they have been over the past six months for the most part. They keep me sane and make me feel better overall. I like knowing that I have burned some good calories and can have a treat here and there. I have been better with treats.....a little better anyways. I think the hormones are starting to become normalized too. What a relief.....

As for Hawaii, a nice last minute vacation planned with my mom. I think this will be a great oppotunity to recover, rest, relax and refocus. I do wish that my husband was coming too.....I will be lonely without him. I feel very lucky that he was so supportive about me going on vacation with my mom. Waikiki might be busy, but this will be a nice time to get away.

Then back to training.......maintenance program training......

  1. Hey Sarah, You deserve a some time away to relax in the sun! Any maybe get a couple of warm runs in that do not require a treadmill. Thank you for your kind words!
